Retraction & Correction Policy

At Rabbanica Journal of Revealed Knowledge, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of scholarly publishing. In alignment with the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, this policy outlines our procedures for issuing retractions, corrections, and other editorial notices in cases where published material requires post-publication changes.

1. Principles

  • We aim to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
  • Any necessary corrections or retractions will be made with transparency and timeliness.
  • All editorial decisions regarding retractions and corrections will be made independently and free of undue influence.
  • Authors, readers, and reviewers are encouraged to notify the editorial team of any suspected errors or ethical concerns.

2. Corrections

2.1 A correction (also called an erratum or corrigendum) will be issued when:

  • A small portion of an otherwise reliable publication contains a factual error (e.g., in data, author name, figure labelling, or references).
  • The error does not compromise the overall validity or conclusions of the paper.
  • The error is brought to the attention of the editors by authors, readers, or third parties.

2.2 Procedure:

  • The editorial team will verify the nature and impact of the reported error.
  • A correction notice will be published online and linked to the original article.
  • The original article will be updated with a clear note indicating that a correction has been issued.

3. Retractions

3.1 A retraction will be issued in cases where:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental error).
  • The article contains redundant publication or has been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing or permission.
  • The article reports unethical research practices.
  • Legal or copyright issues require removal.

3.2 Procedure:

  • The editors will conduct an investigation in accordance with COPE flowcharts.
  • Authors will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.
  • The retraction notice will:
    • Be clearly identified as a retraction.
    • State the reasons for retraction, specifying whether due to misconduct or honest error.
    • Be linked to the original article, which will remain available online but marked as retracted.

4. Expressions of Concern

4.1 An expression of concern may be issued if:

  • There is inconclusive evidence of misconduct or error.
  • An investigation is ongoing but results are not yet available.
  • There are conflicting reports that need resolution.

4.2 Procedure:

  • The notice will be published and linked to the original article.
  • The article’s status will be reviewed once the investigation concludes, potentially leading to a correction or retraction.

5. Authorship Disputes and Metadata Updates

  • Author name changes, affiliations, or acknowledgements will be updated through metadata correction notices if verified and approved.
  • Authorship changes (addition/removal of authors) post-publication will require a signed agreement from all listed authors and an editorial review.

6. Transparency and Indexing

All corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern will be:

    • Openly accessible.
    • Linked to the original article and listed in the journal’s table of contents.
    • Indexed and labeled accordingly in relevant databases and repositories.
